MealPro

Andy Sartori is an example of someone whose idea was ahead of its time. After working at a restaurant and then running his own food truck, he realized it wasn’t enough to be passionate about food; he needed to create demand for his food. Andy leaned into web development and sales funnels and, as a portfolio piece, created the website for a fictitious ready-to-eat meal delivery service. When people started placing orders through the website, Andy realized he was on to something and launched MealPro in 2017.

MealPro, the nationwide leader in custom meal delivery makes real food the easy, accessible choice for people who want delicious and healthy meals. Their dietitians and chefs create high-quality dishes from scratch for different tastes and diet types that customers can further customize to suit their nutrition needs. In 2021/22 Andy leveraged SBA 504 funding to purchase his food preparation facility, which he says gave the company a sense of permanence. In 2023/24, he worked with Bay Area Development to purchase a second building to accommodate MealPro’s expanding sales and marketing team. The project represents the company’s growth as well as the successful intersection of Andy’s passion for food and innovation.
